Peace and Love ArtSpace Fam,
We speak to you with love, compassion and grace in our hearts. Spring is in full effect ☀️ and we are resuming our ATH workshops at PACH starting next Sunday, May 26, 12-2pm. Kai Key is fresh off the table (top surgery reference) and ready to return some love, energy, and care back to community. As his beautiful butterfly wings peak out of that cocoon, he not only grows as a person but also as a facilitator and healer and thus, so does ATH.
For this ATH, we will be making protest art in support of Palestine. I’m sure you can imagine the obvious reasons why and for us, it’s also a little extra special. We have partnered with our dear artist friend and activist Rio Perez and PACH to help a Palestinian family flee Palestine. As a mother of three, Neveen has been displaced and literally bombarded beyond belief by the IOF. She is in need of shelter and safe passage out of Palestine. No human or being at all should have to experience what the Palestinians, Congolese, Sudanese, Haitians and other oppressed people have.
Rio will be selling prints and doing a raffle to help raise funds for Neveen. Kai will be donating half of workshop fee proceeds and 100% of art sales to Neveen as well.

Note: Though we are focusing on Palestine in support of Neveen and all other Palestinians, folks are also encouraged to come make protest art in support of the Congo, Sudan, Haiti and other oppressed global communities.
🔘 NEVEEN’S STORY
"My name is Neveen I was lived in Gaza City. I have three children names Adam, Elaf, Amer. I'm a civilian and my family, I have been demolished, and we were displaced in the Maghazi area in the center of the sector, and after about 20 days, the house we were displaced to was attacked. The soldiers took us out of the house at gun point and forced us to sit on the floor for 10 hours They arrested my father and brother and forced them to take off their clothes and they were beaten in front of everyone's eyes and then they killed some members of my family without guilt. After that, they forced us to move to Rafah They released us in the middle of the night and forced us to walk in the dark for about five kilos. The feeling of fear almost killed me. I walked on the peoples shred in the streets. It's something that causes insaneness. We now in Rafah without a place to live. I am now in a tent on the street. I want to leave Gaza. I cannot live here in fear and loneliness with my memories.
