"¡VIVA RUDY! Block Party"
Join the Pilsen Community in celebrating the memory and life of Rudy Aviña.

PACH will be present with a family friendly Arts Activity area! This is a free event. Make some new community friends and learn about the wonderful life that Rudy shared with so many.

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Each year in June, a beautiful collection of new and old friends come together to celebrate and honor the life of dear community member Rodolfo “Rudy” Aviña. Rudy was an artist and musician who made his life in Pilsen. Rudy had a smile for everyone he encountered and touched countless lives. Rudy brought joy, art, music, and community care to every corner where he walked and to every person he met. Rudy regularly brought people together in his home on 19th Street in Pilsen to share food and play music. In 2015, Rudy’s life was taken in a violent act. The ¡VIVA RUDY! Block Party thrown in his honor, allows us to come together, celebrate, and revel in life with the same exuberance as he did.

The event is free to all in the neighborhood and beyond and includes live music, food, drinks, and activities for all ages. All of the folks who participate and contribute are friends, local community volunteers, local organizations, and local businesses.

Donations raised go towards food, music, games, bathroom access, and supporting next year's event.
